Helen Sterling (Thompson) Nai

Helen T. Nai, age 83, a resident of Albuquerque for over twenty years, died on Thursday, December 21, 2017. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Joseph; two children, Roxanne Nai of Boston, MA and Francesca Christiansen; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Jane Mead; and other relatives and friends.

Helen was born in 1934 in Jamestown, NY and after graduation from high school in Westfield, NY, attended the University of Michigan where she received her BS. She was a librarian at American Cyanamid and the West Springfield, MA library, and was an avid birder, belonging to the Albuquerque Thursday Birders. Helen loved to crochet and made over a hundred crocheted blanket for Project Linus. She was a parishioner at La Mesa Presbyterian Church. Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at La Mesa Presbyterian Church, 7401 Copper Ave. NE, 87108. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Helen's name to Johns Hopkins Alzheimer's Disease, 600 N. Wolfe Street, Carnegie 424, Baltimore, MD 21287.
