Helen E. Leyba

Helen "Peaches" E. Leyba, 81, life-long resident of Albuquerque, passed away with family by her side on September 23, 2014. She is survived by her siblings, Theresa Bates, Judy Noyes, and Jack Jordan; children, Frances Stuckwisch and husband Stephen, Yvonne Leyba and husband Paul Ziemba, Cynthia Leyba and Andrea Sunderman and husband Harold; grandchildren, Matthew Stuckwisch, Rachel Stuckwisch, Adrian Ziemba, Gregory Ziemba, Laurel Sunderman and Bryant Sunderman, along with extended family members. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Alfonso and Aurelia Martin, and her granddaughter, Beckie Stuckwisch. Helen was a graduate of St. Vincent Academy in Albuquerque. Her proudest achievement was seeing her daughters graduate from college and become successful in their careers. Rosary will be held on Friday, September 26, 2014 at FRENCH - University at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church 619 Copper Ave NW, 87102 (at the corner of 6th and Copper). Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Should friends desire, a contribution may be made to a charity of your choice.
