Hazel G. Neeley

Hazel G. Neeley, 98, of Albuquerque, NM passed from this life on Thursday, April 5, 2018 in Farmington, NM. Hazel was born November 1, 1919 in Boonville, MS. Hazel is preceded in death by her husband, O. Nelson Neeley. She is survived by her son, Gregory and wife, Kathy; grandsons, Devin, and Ryan and wife, Stephanie; and the joy of her life great-grandson, Hudson “punkin” Neeley.

Hazel spent all of her adult in New Mexico. She worked in the photo lab at Los Alamos Labs during the development and testing of the atomic bomb. At that time the address for Los Alamos was a post office box in Santa Fe. After marrying Nelson in 1949, she lived in several cities in New Mexico, ultimately settling in Albuquerque. Along the way Hazel meet many good life-long friends.

A viewing will be held Monday, April 9, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH – University.

Services will be Tuesday, April 10, 2018, 2:00 p.m. FRENCH - University. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Liver Foundation, liverfoundation.org.
