Hazel McIntosh

May 5, 1931 — April 19, 2015

Hazel McIntosh, 83, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to so many, passed peacefully in her sleep on April 19, 2015. She was born May 5, 1931 to Giles Raymond Womack and Jimmie Othell Marsh Womack in Whitney, TX. Following graduation from high school in Fort Worth, TX, she raised a family while traveling the US and the world, living in Texas, California, North Carolina, Japan and finally Albuquerque, NM. Hazel loved to travel with Wayne in their RV to visit friends and family, and truly enjoyed meeting new people and socializing with others. She loved her family and cherished the time spent with kids and grandkids, and took special pride and pleasure in watching her grandkids at sporting events or graduations. Hazel was fiercely loyal to her husband, family and friends, generous to all with her time and her talents (her pecan pie was famous), and for making those around her feel loved and appreciated. Hazel is survived by her husband, Wayne McIntosh; her son, Bill Bell; her daughter, Diana Groendyke; her granddaughter, Carley; her grandsons, Michael and Reve; and her step children, Wayne, Julia, Susan, Stacy and Scott; and her step grandsons and granddaughters, Anastasia, Sam, Joseph, Sarah Elizabeth, Peter and Mark; and her sister, Ruby Thompson. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015, 11:00 a.m., at Sandia Presbyterian Church at 10704 Paseo del Norte Blvd NE, Albuquerque NM 87122.
