Harry E. Raymond, Jr., age 85, passed away March 20, 2016. He was born May 9, 1930 to Venice (King) and Harry E. Raymond, Sr. Harry lived an exciting and long rewarding life and retired to his home in New Mexico. Harry served the Army as both a military and civilian member for almost 42 continuous years. He held various jobs as a reporter and editor on stateside and overseas Army newspapers, including the Stars and Stripes. He served as combat correspondent during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. During his careers, he completed a BA in Latin American Studies and a Master's in Multicultural Education, both from UNM. In his retirement, he loved traveling the world with his wife of 68 years, Pat. Harry is survived by Pat; three sons, Stan, Steve and Scott; a daughter, Victoria; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services will be held Thursday, March 24, 2016, 3:00 p.m., at FRENCH - Wyoming.
