Harry A. Jermyn, Sr. passed away peacefully at home with family on September 20, 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife, Polly. He celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on September 5. Harry is survived by one brother, Tom Jermyn of Boston, MA; and 13 children, Martha Joe Hall, Diana Lawson, Karen Sweat, Brenda Vardy, Gwynne Hall, Harry Vern Hall, Douglas Frazier, Gwinn Hall, Bradley Frazier, Melanie Collier, Harry A. Jermyn, Jr., Susie Mace and Lora Zamora. He had 24 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great- grandchildren and many, many nieces and nephews. He served in the Navy during World War II and was stationed in the Pacific Theatre at Leyte Gulf and was honorably discharged in December 1945. His early hobbies were racing midgets, stock cars, building boats and cabin cruisers, then later it was all about golf, fishing, camping, and softball. He was an electronic repairman for 49 years and retired in 1995. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, September 27, 2014, 2:00 p.m., at First Christian Church, 10101 Montgomery Blvd NE.
