Harry Lloyd Fenton ”Hank", beloved father, grandfather, educator, and mentor passed away on Friday, October 11, 2019 surrounded by loved ones. He is survived by his daughter Erin Calvert, son Kyle Fenton, mother of his children Sherry Fenton, 3 granddaughters Alma, Evelyn, and Greta, sister Judy Elliott, and brother Steve Fenton.

Hank entered the world on Thursday, May 8, 1947 in Philadelphia, PA to Harry and Margaret Fenton. He left Philadelphia to attend college at University of Kentucky in Lexington where he studied education. After teaching for several years in Pennsylvania and Hawaii, Hank moved to Colorado to get his master's degree.

While in Colorado he met Sherry Spivey, and they married in 1974 in Leadville, CO.

They moved to New Mexico in 1979 and raised their two children in Albuquerque. Hank spent his career as an educator, primarily teaching middle school math, and retired in 2007.

Hank was an avid reader and loved fast vehicles including Harley Davidson motorcycles and sports cars. He was a Kentucky Wildcats basketball fan and would fervently fill out his March Madness brackets every year. Hank served as a mentor for many students and fellow educators during his career and enjoyed helping others.

Hank will always be remembered for his loyalty, hardworking nature, and sense of humor. Memorial donations in Hank's name can be made to the National Kidney Foundation or by becoming an organ donor if you are able.
