Harry Carson

d. July 2, 2016

Harry Carson, 87, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2016, with his wife at his side.
Harry was born in Brooklyn on December 31, 1928, and grew up in Malverne on Long Island. He had a long career with Household Finance which took him to the environs of Detroit, Cleveland and Philadelphia, back to Long Island and, finally, the Chicago area. He and his first wife Marjorie raised two fine sons, Gregg of Chicago, and Glenn of Atlanta.
After his time with Household, he put his mellifluous voice to work by making a very large career turn doing voice-over work in Chicago, as well as some stage and TV work.
Harry met his wife Sandy in 1981 and they married in 1983. Although they loved her home town of Chicago, after a road trip to the southwest, they decided to make a big change and moved to Albuquerque in 1991. While here Harry did some part-time sales and customer service work for Highlander Poultry and then Zanios Foods.
Harry and Sandy made a good life in their 25 years in the Duke City and have many whom they call friends.
Harry is survived by his wife and sons, as well as many nieces and nephews. His only sibling, Jean, predeceased him only last November.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Sierra Club or your favorite animal shelter.
A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, July 17, 2016 with an open house at their home. For information: sjs48@q.com.
