Age 84, died January 2, 2013, at Anna Kaseman Hospice following a brief illness. Harold was born October 14, 1928 in Anthony, Kansas to Clarence and Grace Crow. He attended Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas, and graduated from Dodge City Junior College where he met his future wife, the former Maxine Pennington, whom he married in 1950 prior to his enlistment in the US Air Force. He was an instructor in the jet engine school at Amarillo Air Force Base, Amarillo, Texas. Following his military service, he traveled a multi-state area as a manufacturer's representative of building products, including 20 years representing Weiser Lock Company. Harold and Maxine were active in several Presbyterian Churches in Kansas, Texas and New Mexico where they served as elders, deacons and youth advisers. Harold is survived by his wife of 62 years, Maxine, their daughter Deborah Wells and her husband Garald of Albuquerque, their son Douglas and his wife Kathleen of Burke, Virginia, as well as three grandchildren, Esti Crow and her fiancé William Bradley of Burke Virginia, Nathanael Crow of Burke, Virginia, and Alexander Wells of Albuquerque. Private services will be held at a later date with interment at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) or Anna Kaseman Hospice.
