He is preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn Gilbert Wright; his second wife, Josephine Wilson Wright; and sisters, Martha Wright Moe, Helen Mae Kula, and Elisabeth Anne Papania.
Clif was born on August 13, 1920 in Bloomsburg, PA, the only son of Dennis and Ethel (Creasy) Wright, but a resident of Albuquerque, NM for 65 years. Clif graduated from Penn State in 1942 and then served in the U.S. Army during WWII from 1942 to 1946 in New Guinea as a General Clerk where he received a Good Conduct Medal and a Bronze Star. He returned to Penn State following his WWII service, where he earned his Master's degree. He left Bloomsburg in 1952 to begin work with the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission's Sandia Laboratory in Albuquerque. In 1961, he became licensed as a Certified Public Accountant and transitioned his employment to the State of New Mexico, ultimately retiring as Assistant Director for Administrative Services of the Employment Security Commission. Clif was a past President of the Sons of the Revolution Rocky Mountain District and a lifelong patron of the Arts. For numerous years, he was a member of the New Mexico Symphony Guild and the Albuquerque Guild of the Santa Fe Opera which provided him the opportunity to travel abroad, visiting England, China, Australia and other countries. He was also an avid genealogy enthusiast, spending many years (before computers) gathering information about his heritage and sharing it with his family.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Assisted Living Staff of La Vida Llena. Their compassion and care was remarkable and they all had a tremendous part in making Clif comfortable and content during his final years.
