H. Francis Wood, Commander, USN (RET.) "Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer." Romans 12:12. Frank Wood went to his eternal home on November 28, 2013 at the age of 75. He was born March 12, 1938 in Bonne Terre, MO to Gladys Ann (McCauley) Wood and Herbert Vincent Wood. Frank is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carol; his son, Michael and wife Kimba; his daughter, Sarah and Jim and grandson, Bryce Barrett. He is also survived by six brothers and four sisters: Herbert Wood, veteran US Army; Fr. Robert Wood CM; Leroy Wood, veteran US Marines; Donald Wood, veteran US Air Force; Joe Wood, veteran US Navy; John Wood; Mary Ann Redmond; Ruth Wood; Barbara Sanders; and Dorothy Gleich. Frank was an air recon pilot in the U.S. Navy for 21 years and served during the Vietnam War. After retiring from the navy he worked for New Haven Home, Visa, CA, Diversified Sciences Corporation and Lockheed Martin. Frank attended the Naval Post-Graduate School in Monterey and National University. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Catholic War Veterans. He was active in the ACTS Retreat Ministry. Rosary and viewing will be held Thursday, December 5, 2013, 7:00 p.m., at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 12500 Carmel Blvd. NE. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated Friday, December 6, 2013, 10:00 a.m., also at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Interment will take place at a later date in Butte, Montana.
