Gwendolyn M. Whiting, age 85, loving mother and grandmother, went to her eternal rest on April 15, 2016. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Lt. Col. Herbert R. Whiting. She is survived by her children, Dr. Valerie W. Brewer, Rebecca W. Sheppard (Patrick), Laurie W. Morgenstern, and Scott R. Whiting (Debbie Nix); and grandchildren, Stephanie and Kimberly Sheppard and Mark (Amy) and Dr. Erik Brewer.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2016, 2:00 p.m., at FRENCH - Wyoming. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fisher House Foundation, 111 Rockville Pike, Ste. 420, Rockville, MD 20850, Children's Grief Center of NM, 3001 Trellis Dr. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107, or S.A.F.E.
