Gregory Mark Analla, 52, passed away from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on January 4, 2018 in Albuquerque, NM. Gregg was born at Beale Air Force Base in Marysville, CA on February 10, 1965. The family moved to New Mexico in 1967 and Gregg attended schools in Gallup, NM, graduating high school in 1983. He worked various jobs that were art related but his passion was his music. Self-taught and naturally gifted, music was an integral part of his life. From early childhood recordings of Gregg "hamming it up" on an open reel cartridge recorder to modern day, state of the art music studios, Gregg could SING! Not only was he an accomplished vocalist (singing with multitudes of bands throughout the years; including 9.0, Seventh Sign, Slavior, Tribe of Gypsies, 237, S.E.T, The Minor Construct, and Shadow Train), Gregg was also a distinguished guitarist and percussionist. He did not limit his musical talent to just rock and roll he recently began to study square notes Gregorian chant. He also gifted us with traditional Native American music as he was a descendant of Isleta and Laguna pueblo. In addition, keeping with his Native culture, Gregg alongside his father Richard Analla endearingly educated anyone who yearned to know about Native American culture through North American Cultural tours, Southwest Indian Foundation. He worked at the Indian Pueblo cultural Center as an exhibit designer. Recently he was extremely excited about designing an exhibit at the Open Space Visitor Center for the City of Albuquerque and was currently pursuing a degree in museum studies at the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe.
A man of great faith, Gregg was a member of Saint Peter and Saint Paul Catholic Church. He participated in his sons Cub Scout Troop #100 and was a committed husband to his beloved wife and daddy to his son, Xavier. As a proud husband and father, he took on provisions to give his family all the best experiences. Camping, hiking, fishing, traveling, family board games, playing soccer, building modeling trains, bicycling...just to name a few. The family’s most important pursuit led by Gregg was volunteering at The Rock at Noon Day.
Gregg and his wife Marguerite enjoyed the outdoors riding in the freedom of the open air on his motorcycle.
He worked very passionately in all of his endeavors and he exhibited such genuine charisma. His smile; it was magnetizing. When in his presence, when you had his undivided attention, you felt like you were on top of the world. Gregg was an accomplished man who inspired many and was loved by all.
