Gracia Nell (Byrd) Johnson

Gracia Nell Byrd Johnson went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 10, 2021, at the age of 83. Gracia was a talented musician, seamstress, gardener, cook and homemaker, and she was a loving and dedicated sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Laura Byrd of Bloomfield, NM, and brother John Byrd of Arlington, TX.

Gracia is survived by her husband, Johnny "JJ" Johnson, of Albuquerque, NM, with whom she celebrated 30 years of marriage; her brother, Bert Byrd and wife Loretta of Hutchinson, KS; nieces, grandnieces, and grandnephews; 5 children and their spouses: Melinda Schneider and husband Ken, Lora Hodges and husband Russ, Trish Hess and husband Jason, Carmen Keene and husband Jim, and Lori Hinkle and husband Lou; 8 grandchildren: Jessika Junick and husband Kyle, Monica Gathings, Sarah Martinez, Liana Keene, Cora Keene, Joseph Keene, Shayna Anglin, and Hilary Brown-Egas; and 7 great grandchildren: Theodore, Cameron, Ian, Aislan, Emery, Liam and Harvey; and her faithful constant companion, Penny Pooch Chihuahua.
