Our beloved daughter, mother, sister, cousin and friend, Grace Valencia Lane, completed her journey on Earth on June 24, 2015, with her loving family by her side, after battling an extended illness. She was born November 22, 1956 in Pecos, New Mexico to Matias and Manuelita Valencia. She is survived by her son (and pride and joy), Sean Lane, and his wife Leah of Ft. Riley, KS; brother, AugustA�n; sisters, Anabelle (Fred), Lucille, Lorrayne (Desi), Cathy (Sonny), and Rochadie (Henry), as well as numerous nieces, and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, her sister Belma Velador, and son, Matthew. Grace was an adventuresome spirit, and grew up in Las Vegas, NM. Over time, she also lived in Hanford, CA, Albuquerque, NM, Iceland, and Spokane, WA. Not long after returning to New Mexico, she was diagnosed with an aggressive and terminal illness, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. The family would like to thank UNMH department of NSICU, Emergency Room, and the Rio de las Estances Facility for their care and compassion provided over the last several months. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, July 6, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Westside, with a reception to follow.
