Grace Gurule, 90, went to the Lord on Friday, November 13, 2015. She was born in Martineztown, Albuquerque, NM.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Delfina and Ricardo Orozco, and her loving husband of 37 years, Adolfo Gurule. She is survived by her four children, Dellarose Torres, Linda Chavez (Victor), Adolph Gurule (Michelle), Anthony Gurule (Jean), her sister Patsy Felix, and many nephews and nieces. She loved her grandchildren Loren Torres (Andrea), Peter Torres (Abby), Victor Angelo Chavez (Kendra), Kathleen Chavez, Victoria Standley (Chris), Adam Gurule (Beth), Michael Morales, Mishawn Morales, Meigan Morales, Michael Gurule, Antonio Gurule (Nichelle), Dominic Gurule, and Chris Gurule. Her great grandchildren Andres, Maya, Landon, Carson, Walter Adolfo, Charlotte, Beau, Jordan, and Bohden were the apple of her eye.
She was a good great grandmother, grandmother, mother, sister, and wife and will be missed by all. She worked for Albuquerque Public Schools and made amazing cinnamon rolls and biscochitos. She loved to hike, go for long walks, and read.
The Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 6:30 p.m., at FRENCH-University. Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5311 Phoenix Avenue. Following the Mass, Burial will take place at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd. NE.
