Grace Gomez

GOMEZ, GRACEAge 83, a resident of Albuquerque, born in Reventon, NM and raised in Corona, NM went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 19, 2012. Grace was a devoted Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Glenda Jo and husband, Eugene Garcia; sons, Joseph A. and wife, Cathy Gomez, and David Ray Gomez; grandchildren, Paul Anthony, Tessa, Aaron, Michael Leigh, Amber and Chris; numerous great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Joe Gomez; parents, Narciso and Aurora Montoya; sisters, Carmen Barros, Ramona Williams and Rosa Luna; son-in-law, Bill Small. Grace was a long-time member of The Shrine of St. Bernadette and a member of the Alter Rosary Society. She was also a volunteer at the Barrett House. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at French-Lomas. Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at The Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School Rd NE. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Paul Anthony Gomez, Aaron Small, Chris Gomez, Mario Montoya, Mike D'elia, and Daniel Dalton. Honorary Pallbearer will be Alfred Garcia. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to The Shrine of St. Bernadette.
