Grace Ellen Brooks

Grace Ellen Brooks was called to her eternal resting place at the age of 89 on September 13, 2024. Her final moments were spent peacefully surrounded by loved ones in the comfort of her home. She entered this world on January 26, 1935, in Easton, PA, born to Franklin and Clara Martin along with one brother, Richard Martin. 

She graduated from Highland High School in 1953 and went on to pursue a career as a Paralegal, retiring from Modrall Sperlinglaw firm. She married Ed Hanna who passed away January 10, 2014. They had five children: Roland Hanna, Richard Hanna, Robert Hanna, Randolph Hanna, and Carol Byrd. She is also survived by many family members, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Grace eloped and happily married Donald Brooks until his passing. She had a full life as a mother, grandmother, and friend to anyone that had the pleasure of her knowing her. 

She touched the hearts of many and cared for all she met as her own. Her hobbies included reading, watching daytime television, cooking, exploring the outdoors, watching her hummingbirds, and tending to her garden. She attended Christ United Methodist Church and was true to her faith. 

A memorial service will be held on October 18, 2024 at 1:00 pm at French Funerals located at 1111 University Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102
