Gordon Shaver, age 93, a resident of Albuquerque since 1948, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2015. Gordon was born August 27, 1922 in Binghamton, NY. He is survived by a step-daughter, Vonna Andrews and grand-daughter, Natasha Dagle. He was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Mary Lou; by his parents, Clarence and Louise Shaver; three brothers, Jerome, Edward, and John, and step-daughter, Donna Shaver. Gordon received his Bachelor's of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Mexico in 1951 after serving in the US Navy in WWII. Gordon was aboard a ship in Tokyo Bay during the signing of the end of WWII. He was employed by the Army Corp of Engineers for eight years and by UHL and Lopez Engineers Inc. for thirty years and retired in 1987. He was a life member of the National Society of Professional Engineers and was a member of PI Kappa Alpha. Gordon was a very kind, loyal friend and will be missed deeply, may he rest in heaven with his wife Mary Lou. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, December 14, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery on 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
