Gordie grew up in the small town of Laurel, Montana. He started working at his father's grocery store at a very young age. He went on to be a meat butcher. Gordie’s true passion and what he thrived at was being a master electrician. He owned his own company, West Star Electric and ended his career working for Ardent Construction in Texas. Gordie was always willing and eager to help others when in need. He loved rock-n-roll music, golfing, crossword and Sudoku puzzles. He was an expert pool player, playing on many leagues. Gordie’s main love and where he kept his hideaway home was Elephant Butte Lake in Truth or Consequence, NM. He spent many weekends there with Kathy, the kids, the grandkids, and many friends. Gordie loved taking his boat out giving anyone who dared a tube ride. If you wanted to learn how to water ski, he was the one to ask. Gordie was an amazing slalom skier. Even when the sun was out and he was tired, if the grandkids wanted a boat ride, they got it. Gordie was always smiling, looking for fun and enjoyed being around people. He liked to give nicknames to many of his family and friends, for instance, Kathy was his chicken little. The memories could go on and on with Gordie, he will be deeply missed but will live on forever in our hearts.
