GLORIA RITA ST. JOHN-MOORE

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gloria Rita-St. John-Moore, who left us peacefully on August 27, 2024, at the spriteful age of 86. Born on May 22, 1938, in Albuquerque, NM. Gloria was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, god-mother and friend to many. Her life was a testament to love, kindness, and creativity.

Gloria was a talented artist and poet, whose works brought joy and inspiration to many. Her passion for art was matched only by her dedication to her family. She was a nurturing mother to Raymond, Gary, Deanna and Michael. She was also a doting grandmother to Scott, Ryan, Shawna, Jordan, Kristin, Garrett, Harmoni and Sereniti. Her great-grandchildren Gabriella, Mason, Cody, Madison, Makayla, Adalee, Finn, Seth and Grayson will always remember her warmth and love. Her home was a sanctuary of warmth and creativity where family gatherings were filled with laughter, stories, and the aroma of her delicious cooking. Gloria had a unique ability to make everyone feel special and loved. Her legacy of compassion and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Despite growing up a sickly child, she showed incredible resilience. At the age of 12, she faced a life threatening situation of uncontrolled internal hemorrhaging. The local parish priest had even gave her her last rites. Her bleeding miraculously stopped and she went upon to live a full and vibrant life. She was the first in her family to graduate from high school. A milestone for which she was incredibly proud of. After graduation, she and two girlfriends moved to California. It was there two years later she met her future husband, Raymond, at a military base dance. (dancing was her favorite passion). They shared a joyful life of 56 years. She loved her children more than anything, but had a very special relationship with her daughter. They went on mother and daughter trips every year from 1988 until 2023. Where they visited locations in California, Arizona, Hawaii, Colorado, New York, Florida, Texas and the Caribbean. She had the fortunate opportunity to have taken a month long trip to Europe, with her lifelong girl friends. She cherished going on two cruises with all of her loving children. She was really the best mom ever!! Always placing her family first, with all the love she could bestow on to them. They were her pride and joy. She dedicated her life to their happiness and well being. Her adventurous spirit led her to travel and explore many far away places. Many lasting and remarkable memories were created along her journey. She had a zest for life, that was contagious to the people she met. Her playful pranks brought laughter and joy to those around her. Her legacy of love, creativity, and resilience will be forever remembered by her family and friends. She touched the lives of many and her memory will continue to inspire us for all time.

She is survived by her children, Raymond and wife Denise, Gary and his wife Evelyn, Deanna and her husband Randy, Michael and his fiancee Katie.
