Gloria Aragon

Gloria D. Aragon, 62, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend of Albuquerque, NM was called to her eternal resting place on Wednesday, February 14th, 2024.

She was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2010. Facing her foe with grace, courage, and dignity, she spent the last 13 years fighting this unrelenting disease. The family wishes to thank the entire clinical team at UNM Cancer Center for their dedication to compassionate patient care.

Gloria was born in Cuba, NM on August 9, 1962, one of twelve children. She is known for her beautiful smile, contagious energy and ability to "tell you like it is." She was preceded in death by her parents, Pablo and Carmelita Aragon; and siblings, Henrietta Neville, Annie Ashe, Magdalena Risley-Aragon, Manuel Crespin, and Richard Aragon. Gloria is survived by her siblings, Margaret Crespin-Gutierrez and her husband, Elfigo, Susan Crespin, Eduardo Aragon, Amelia Aragon, Johnnie Aragon and wife, Irene, Leonard Aragon and wife, Marilyn, Julius Aragon and wife, Celina, and Randy Mirabel and wife, Maria; brothers-in-law, John Risley and Robert Ashe; sisters-in law, Susan Aragon and Vivian Crespin; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

She graduated from Cuba High School in 1979, in 2021 she graduated from Central New Mexico Community College earning an Associate of Applied Science Integrated Studies and an Associate Degree in Business.

A rosary will be recited Monday, March 4, 2024, 5:30 p.m., at FRENCH - University. A rosary will be recited Saturday, April, 27, 2024, 9:00 a.m. with Mass to follow 10:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church in Cuba, NM.  Following Mass Gloria’s ashes will be laid to rest alongside her parents.
