Glenna Marie Switzer

Age 97, a resident of Edgewood, NM passed away peacefully at her home July 12, 2024. She was born in Des Moines, Iowa to Glen and Marie Bushnell. Glenna married Paul Switzer of Thomas, Ok in 1945. Paul and Glenna moved to NM in 1952 and settled briefly in Albuquerque before moving to Tijeras, NM. They later moved to the Edgewood area where they lived for the last 35 plus years. She was an excellent seamstress and cook as well as a helper to Paul in his custom home building business and his farming and ranching. She and Paul were married 69 years. She is preceded in death by husband Paul, 4 of her 5 siblings, son-in-law Matt Porter, granddaughters Sara Porter and Jennifer Wroton. She is survived by sons Rick, Bob and wife Vicki, Roger and wife Cherrian; daughters Paula Porter and Beth Aultman and husband Mike, 15 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. She was an active member of Sandia Brethren in Christ Church in Albuquerque where she and Paul attended for many years. 

Memorial service will be held on September 7, 2024 at 11:00am at First Baptist Church in Moriarty New Mexico.
