Glenn C. Lloyd

Glenn C. Lloyd, age 88, passed away September 1, 2018. Glenn was born in Virginia to Rona and Clyde Lloyd. The eldest of eight children, he was an outgoing and caring individual. He eventually found his calling in the United States Military. He was a proud member of the Air Force for over 20 years. Following his time of service, he settled in Albuquerque, NM where he spent the next 20 years working for St. Joseph’s hospital.

An avid outdoorsman who cherished time on the river or out camping, he was always on the lookout for the next big catch. Whether he was fishing with Buddy Jim, camping with the family, or shooting the breeze with his coffee friends, he enjoyed the moments to the fullest. He never knew a stranger, had countless friends, and was his family’s rock.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Maxine Lloyd; his daughters, Celia Lloyd, Virginia Gauthier, and Glennda Nelson; his grandchildren, Dana Olsen, Michael Olsen, Nikki Stanford, and Brandie Casey; great-grandchildren, Kennedy Johnson and Carter Stanford. He is also survived by his sisters, Betty Prevette and Lois Foster-Jones; brothers, Dallas Lloyd, Gary Lloyd, and Jack Lloyd. He also leaves behind many other cherished friends and family members. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Rona and Clyde Lloyd; sister, Elizabeth Farnor; and brother, Richard Lloyd.

Services will be held Tuesday, September 11, 2018, 10:00 a.m., at FRENCH – Wyoming with a reception to follow. Friends and family may visit from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
