Glenda J. (Barber) Trehern

Glenda Trehern (Nana), 78, beloved wife, mom, nana and heart and soul of the family, went home to the Lord on Monday, January 21, 2019. Nana was known for being a happy, positive, vivacious, loving, caring, giving, selfless woman. She took pride in putting her family first, and was a strong, hardworking, self-motivated, knowledgeable business woman while always being a dedicated rancher. Nana was an old soul in a new face, and she would say, “I was a small town, farm girl who came from humble beginnings before I met papa and look at the beautiful, happy family, and life I have now.”

Nana is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Jim Trehern; daughter, Becki Jaramillo (husband, Dodie); son, Glenn Trehern (wife, Liz); eight grandchildren, Glenda Lucero (husband, Eugenio), Cody Aguilar (wife, Ginny), Kristin Simmons (husband, Jordan), James Taylor (wife, Leighann), Tyler Taylor, Staci Trehern (fiancé, Lance Barka), Amber Trehern, and Brooke Trehern; including eight great-grandchildren, Cassandra Lucero, Bryson Lucero, Brooklyn Lucero, Laura Aguilar, Lilly Aguilar, Wyatt Simmons, Jensen Taylor, and Kenzington Simmons. Nana is also survived by her sister, Jackie Barber and her Florida family. Nana also leaves many cherished family and friends whose lives she has deeply touched. Nana was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Louise Barber; and her brother, Alfred Barber (Gubby).

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019, at 11:00 a.m., at FRENCH – Rio Rancho. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.

A Celebration of Life will follow at the Jemez Valley Community Center on Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. located at 815 NM-4, Jemez Pueblo, NM 87024. Nana we will miss you not because we will never see you again, because we will, but we will miss you because you are so far away.
