Gladys O'Brien

O'BRIEN, GLADYSAge 98, resident of Albuquerque since 2000, passed away to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 26, 2012. She is survived by her son, Neil O'Brien and his wife, Mary Ann; three grandsons, Tim O'Brien and his wife, Amy, Kevin O'Brien and his wife, Jill and Jeff O'Brien; seven great-grandchildren, Ryan, Faun, Eliana, Joe, Drew, Harley and Zach; and many nieces and nephews. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Corneilius O'Brien, and her brother, Carl Rubey. Gladys graduated from Greenville High School in Greenville, Ohio. Upon marrying her husband, she enjoyed being a mother, grandmother, working in EUM Church and assisting her husband in the writing and editing the newsletter for the Ohio Fire Chief's Association. While living in Albuquerque, Gladys delighted in getting to know her great-grandchildren and attending Faith Lutheran Church. She loved the staff at Elmcroft Assisted Living and Ambercare Hospice. A private service will be held in Albuquerque, and a Graveside service will take place in Greenville, Ohio.
