Gladys Jaramillo

Gladys Apodaca Jaramillo, 83, lifelong resident of Grants, NM went home to join her husband and son in heaven on Monday, August 3, 2015 with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Aurelio Jaramillo and son, Michael Jaramillo. She is survived by eight children, Mary and husband Albert Gutierrez, Sharon and husband James Trujillo, Anna and husband Rick Chavez, Bernie Jaramillo and wife Kathy, Leonard Jaramillo and wife Tanya, Janell and husband Michael Perez, Andrew Jaramillo and partner Yvonne, Gerald Jaramillo and wife Meria; 19 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren with two on the way, and one great-great grandchild; brothers, Mike Apodaca, Felix Apodaca and wife Adelina; sister, Rafelita and husband Adam Reyes; along with numerous extended family members. Gladys will be remembered as a loving, caring, and giving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She taught us all about the importance of family and faith. Nana will be loved and missed by all whom she touched. Rosary will be recited on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Teresa of Avila Parish, 213 Smith St., Grants, NM 87020. Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. also at St. Teresa of Avila Parish. Gladys will be laid to rest alongside her husband and son at the Grants Cemetery following mass.
