Gladys Hankins, 91, went peacefully to be with her Lord on January 13th, 2016. Gladys was born in Bisbee, Arizona and grew up in San Diego, California. She was proceeded in death by Clyde, her beloved husband of 64 years. Jesus said, "... "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die." Gladys came to understand, believe, and live this truth in Lubbock, Texas in 1952. We rejoice with her now that she is living in heaven with her savior. Gladys is survived by her son, Greg Hankins and his wife, Denise of San Diego, California; her daughter, Gem Blankenship and husband, Gary in Cedar Crest, NM; and by 14 grandchildren. The family wishes to express the deepest gratitude and thanks to the staff at Las Colinas Village, Gemini Home Health Care, and Heritage Hospice all of whom gave Gladys and her family untold support, care, and love during the last months of her life. A Graveside service will be Tuesday, January 19, 2016, 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
