Giovanna (DiSilvestro) Verderame

Giovanna Verderame, age 93, an Albuquerque resident, peacefully passed away on October 9, 2021, and is now in the presence of Jesus. She was born in Sicily on November 10, 1927. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Baldassarre. She is survived by her sons, Richard and his wife Angela, and Michael; daughter Angelica; and grandchildren Jennifer, Nicholas and Nicole. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and daughter. She took great pleasure in cooking Italian cuisine, she enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, joking around, listening to classic Italian music and line dancing. A celebration of life service will take place at FRENCH-Wyoming, on Friday October 15th, at 1:00pm. Family and friends may visit starting at 12:00pm. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favorite charity in Giovanna's name.
