Pohl, Gilbert D. Lt. Gilbert D. Pohl "Gibo" was called home to be with our dear Lord on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the age of 49. He is preceded in death by his sister, Diana Lynn Pohl and his maternal and paternal Grandparents. He is survived by his two precious children, Enrique and Ariana Pohl, and their mother, Pilar Medina; parents, Gilbert and Checko Pohl; sister, Donna Gonzales and husband, Orlando; sister, Darlene Wood and heavenly sister, Shirley Berg and husband Mark; godson, Michael Berg; nieces, Deanna, Sheila and Tamara; nephews, Matthew, Evan, Luke, Joseph and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Gill earned his marketing degree from the University of New Mexico. Gill loved his career with the Albuquerque Fire Department as a firefighter and driver. Gill was promoted to Lieutenant in September of 2013 just prior to his early retirement. He was an avid skier, cyclist and fly fishermen. He also enjoyed riding motor cycles. Gill led a very full life as he traveled abroad and by taking other trips and cruises. Gill had so many friends and his family is so grateful for all the support and prayers. Pallbearers are Orlando Gonzales, Matthew Gonzales, Mark Berg, Joseph Berg, Evan Wood and Luke Wood. Honorary Pallbearers are Michael Berg and the Albuquerque Fire Department. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2015, 6:00 pm at FRENCH-Westside. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 15, 2015, 11:00 am at Calvary Chapel of Albuquerque, 4001 Osuna NE.
