Gilbert J. Baca

Gilbert Baca, 82, devoted husband, beloved Father, was called to his eternal resting place on June 14, 2018. He entered this world on September 28, 1935 in Santa Rosa, NM, born to Frank and Leandra Baca. He is survived by his spouse, Victoria Baca; son James Baca; daughters, Lorraine Pearce, Geraldine Migacz, Ramona Purvis and their spouses along with his three grandchildren Brannon, Leandra and Jonathon Purvis. He is also survived by four siblings, Boni Baca and Polly Maes of Albuquerque; Frank Baca and Maggie Gallegos of Santa Rosa along with a multitude of nieces, and nephews in New Mexico and around the United States. Gilbert graduated from Santa Rosa High School in 1954 at which time he joined the Air Force. He served in the Air Force from 1954 - 1958. He retired from the United States Post office after more than 30 years of service. A Rosary will be held Wednesday, June 20, 2018, 10:00 a.m. followed by at Funeral Service, 10:30 a.m. at FRENCH – Wyoming. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery with a Reception at 12:00 p.m. at FRENCH – Wyoming.  Honorary pallbearers are Everisto Marquez and Tobias Pino. Pallbearers are Brannon and Jonathon Purvis, Dennis and Frank Gallegos; and Ross and Tobias Jr Pino.
