Gertrude "Trudy" Ann DeLozier

Gertrude A. (Trudy) DeLozier, 86, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2019 in the presence of her loving husband and family.  She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Francis Earl; and her immediate family consisting of five children, Daniel DeLozier (Lanie) of Columbia SC, Gregory DeLozier (Inga) of Las Vegas NV, Thomas DeLozier of ABQ, Andrew DeLozier (Anna) of Sierra Vista AZ, Mary Beth Debevec of ABQ.  She had eleven grandchildren,  Sarah Orner (Ben), Ashley, Michelle McIntyre, Amy Cohen (Alex), Patrick, Kaylyn, Eric, Jacob, Carly, Samantha, and Matteo; and two great-grandchildren, Caleb and Evelyn.

She was born in Quincy, MA on Tuesday, August 30, 1932 to Gorden and Gertrude Tobey.  She lived in Massachusetts during her adolescent years, attending St. Paul’s School.  Moving to Tucson, AZ she graduated from Immaculate Heart Academy.  At age 20 she met and married Francis DeLozier.  During her years as wife to an Air Force Enlisted member she travelled to Newfoundland Canada, Bankok Thailand and to several AF Bases in the United States, including Kirtland AFB, arriving in 1969.  She was an enthusiastic volunteer at the KAFB Thrift Shop for over twenty years. When her husband retired, she and her family settled in Albuquerque in 1973. She was a parishioner of The Shrine of Saint Bernadette Catholic Church.  Between rearing five children and volunteering she led a busy and active life.  Trudy will be remembered fondly by her children and their children and all who knew her.
