Gerald A. Miller (Jerry) age 88, passed away on October 17, 2018. He is survived by wife, Judith Harrison Miller; step-children, Jill Amos, Karen Inman and Craig Inman; nieces, Lynn Gamble, Kris Gates, Peggy Miller, Wendy Thibodeau, Carleen Miller and Brenda Miller; nephews, Bruce Gamble, Glenn Miller, Michael Miller and Thomas Miller. He is preceded in death by parents, Carl Miller and Elsa Hedman Miller; siblings, Barbara Gamble, Carl Miller, Donald Miller, Kenneth Miller and Clayton Miller.
Jerry was born in Edmonton, Canada on July 10, 1930. He graduated from the University of New Hampshire, studied Architecture/Business and Psychology at Boston University and attended the Boston Architectural Center and Harvard Summer School. Jerry moved to New Mexico 1985. He worked as a project manager on large installations such as a Research Facility for NASA in White Sands, New Mexico, and as an assistant project manager for the Ohkay Casino and Hotel in San Juan Pueblo, New Mexico. One of his largest projects was a corporate ranch retreat in Eastern New Mexico which included a 14,000 square foot headquarters house. Jerry built custom homes in the East Mountain Area of Albuquerque, New Mexico. His love for architecture showed in the houses he designed and built.
Jerry enjoyed skiing, mountain biking, mountain climbing, wood sculpture, gardening, classical music and historic building preservation.
Above all, Jerry was a man who truly loved his family and did his best to be of help to them and others, all of his life. He was a man who valued the dignity of human life and worked steadily to ensure that all people he knew and loved had a chance to be the best that they could be. May God rest his soul in peace.
Services will be held Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Hope in the Desert Episcopal Church at 8700 Alameda Blvd. NE (Hope Plaza), Albuquerque NM 87122.
