Geraldine Montano Roble (1967-2024)
On October 16th, 2024, at the young age of 57, Geraldine Montano Roble was called back to our Lord and Savior. She is awaited by her father Patricio Gallegos and beloved family. She is survived by her mother Theresa Gallegos, siblings Robert, Junior and Jeanette. In addition, the family she created with her forever love Roberto Roble, five children Andrew Montano, Nicholas Montano, his wife Vanessa Montano, Courtney Pham, and her husband Matthew Pham and three grandbabies Elizay, Mavis, and Madelyn. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Geraldine grew up in the quaint farm town of Corrales, New Mexico, where your neighbors were your family. She spent her time cheerleading and playing for hours with her siblings and cousins. She was the apple of their dad’s eye, so much so that her dad would go out of his way to make her meals have flowers and greenery in order to appease her picky eating. Her little brother Jr. would always bug his sisters; Geraldine was told “just hit him back” but with a heart as wholesome as hers, she could not do it for fear of hurting her baby brother. She really loved being with her family and this translated into adulthood where she continued to keep the love for her family at the forefront of her actions and beliefs.
Geraldine was a wonderful educator. She always strived to give young children the best educational start at life possible. Not only did she leave with them the knowledge of their ABC’s, but she left them with an imprint of kindness from her heart. She taught at many facilities, but her most favorite was the self-employed school she created herself. Those that attended Geraldine’s Leaping into Learning will forever carry her teachings in their hearts because that’s the kind of lady she was; one you could never forget.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Geraldine was the best wife, mother, sister, auntie, and friend anyone could ask for. But her most cherished accomplishment was being a MoMo to her two grandbabies Buggy (Elizay), Bean (Mavis) and soon to be born Coconut (Madelyn). From movie nights on a blown up pineapple floatie with homemade pizza, popcorn and ice cream to cheering them on at every event, she was present and loved them with all her heart. Even though they did not get a full life with their MoMo, her love for them will be forever.
In her free time Geraldine sparkled like a diamond. She would luxuriate in collecting various unique jewels to express her royal personality. She also enjoyed putting her toes in the warm sand of turquoise beaches; relaxing in the rays of the sun with her love Roberto and their Brownie dog. Geraldine and Roberto were always on an adventure together traveling from island to island. And everywhere they went Geraldine shared her loving personality with everyone they encountered, always making friends. And when she wasn’t on an adventure you would find her with family or on the sofa cheering on her Dallas Cowboys.
So how does one replace a mother, lover, and friend such as Geraldine? The answer is you simply cannot… Her smile would light up the room like the full moon in the darkness of night. With eyes twinkling brighter than the North Star; bright, beautiful, and never wavering. Her warm embrace ensuring you knew you were safe at home in her presence. Never judgmental and always giving more than she ever received, an angel like her will truly never be replaced in this lifetime.
However, when you think of Geraldine, after the unrelenting sadness subsides…Remember the crown she wore; just like a pineapple, she wore her crown proudly. A fierce and strong woman with the sweetest core. Forever loved and always in our hearts.
