Geraldine B. "Gerry" McCall, age 95, of Albuquerque, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at home in Albuquerque. She was born on September 15, 1919, in Coatesville, PA to Edgar Earl and Geraldine Leona (McComb) Boyles. She was raised in the Pittsburg, PA area and later ended up in Wilkinsburg, PA. She attended nursing school in Fall River, MA and then she met and married William "Mac" McCall in 1941, a marriage of 73 years. He was in the US Army and she followed him through different assignments as he served in World War II. Mac graduated college and they moved to Los Alamos where she served as an auxiliary nurse, served in the Girl Scouts and in other community organizations as she raised her children. She enjoyed reading, hiking and bird watching around Los Alamos and Northern New Mexico. She and Mac came to Albuquerque after he retired in 1980 where they have lived since that time. Gerry is survived by her son, William "Bill" McCall and wife Pat; daughter , Cam Moore and husband Earl, both of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Kelley McCall, Kendall and Jonathan Moore, all of Albuquerque; and many nieces, nephews and other loving family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Merrill Boyles. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 19, 2014, 1:30 p.m., at Berean Baptist Church, 3800 Eubank Blvd. NE, Albuquerque. Inurnment will follow at a later date at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
