Geraldine Brooks, 70, was born in Las Vegas, NM. Gerrie peacefully passed away September 8, 2015. She was an empathetic and generous person and was known for her "unique" personality and laugh. Never a person to be shy, Gerrie made many friends that she enjoyed calling to chat. The night Gerrie passed away, she surprisingly called her friends at the front desk at Princeton Place for one last time. She was a cosmetologist and did volunteer work. She enjoyed traveling with her husband. Alaska and China were her favorite adventures. She is survived by her son, Michael Segura; her sisters, Jeanne Kubiak, Peggy Martin, Sue Flynt and a brother, Ken Flynt. She also leaves an uncle, Saibe Segura Jr. (Antonia) and many cherished nieces, nephews and cousins. Also touching Gerrie's life were the many friends she made while residing at Princeton Place. They nicknamed her the Queen of Princeton Place. Gerrie was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Dr. Bancroft Brooks; daughter, Delanie Zavichas; parents, Jim and Mary Flynt; brother, Jim D. Flynt and grandparents, Eusebio and Floripa Segura and Holbert and Leila Flynt. A private visitation will be held and cremation will follow.
