Geraldine Mable "Geri" Becker

Long-time Albuquerque resident Geraldine "Geri" Mable Becker, age 94, passed on Sunday, October 30, 2016. Geri was born in Topeka, KS to John and Mable Hatcher and was the eldest of three children. She was married to Robert D. Becker on August 22, 1942 in Los Lunas, NM. With the help of her husband, together they raised two successful sons of whom she often voiced great pride. She was a long time employee of Sandia National Laboratories with over thirty years of service. Geri is remembered as a tremendously kind woman who loved her family dearly, never missing a moment to say, "I love you." Geri is preceded in death by her sons, Robert Jr., Richard and Donald Becker; brothers, Ronald and William Hatcher; grandson, Douglas V. Anderson; and great-grandson, Cameron A. Anderson. She is survived by her loving husband of 74 years, Robert D. Becker; grandchildren, Michelle Smith, Sandra Lyon, and Jason Anderson; great-grandchildren, Dadje and Paige Anderson, Victoria and Evan Lyon, and Shu and Jia Smith; and many other family members. A Reception will be held Saturday, November 19, 2016, 8:00 a.m. at FRENCH - Lomas with a Memorial Service beginning at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Mexico Chapter Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org/newmexico/ or Joy Junction, 4500 2nd St SW, Albuquerque.
