Gerald 'Jerry' Zottneck, 85, died peacefully at home in the early morning of May 15, 2021. He was a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, since 1976.
He was born in Elkton, Michigan on May 1, 1936. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Marilyn; his children Amy Morga and husband Dustin Cooper; Eric and wife Jessica; William; and Natasha Fyfe and husband Scott. He was an amazing grandfather to 9 grandchildren.
Jerry was a proud veteran serving in the Air Force for over 20 years with a rank of Sergeant. His second career was working for the United States Postal Service. Upon retirement, he enjoyed traveling and spending time in Montana with his wife and her family.
He will be greatly missed by his siblings and their families: Lawrence Zottneck (brother) of Indiana, Leo Zottneck (brother) of Michigan, Ruth Robinson (sister) of Michigan, Ray Zottneck (brother) of Tennessee, Susan Zottneck (sister-in-law) of Idaho. They were always close to his heart.
He was proceeded in death by his parents William and Mary (Thompson); brothers Robert (Bobby) and Reinald (Ron); and children Reinald, Belinda and Cynthia.
Jerry will be truly missed by his family and loved ones and will be remembered as a giving, thoughtful husband, father, and grandfather. He was a strong and dependable man who helped many lives.
Services will be held Saturday, May 29th, 2021, 10:00 a.m. at the Christ the King Anglican Church, 2525 Vermont St NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
