Gerald Umprovitch

Jerry passed away at the age of 69 on Tuesday September 18, 2012. Cancer took his life after a very short 4 month battle. Jerry was a resident of Albuquerque, NM since 1974. He was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois by his father Alfred Umprovitch and mother Stephanie Umprovitch. He had 6 brothers. Jerry is survived by his wife of 47 years, Diane, his two children Mark Umprovitch of Bosque Farms, NM and Kim Delahanty of Aurora, Colorado and his five grandchildren Kaytlyn, Deryk, Brandon, Hayley and Breanna. Jerry was a loving husband, father, friend and grandfather. He was always willing to help people with a huge smile on his face and kindness in his heart. He retired from Prudential Insurance Company after 32 years of service. He and his wife Diane resided in the NE Heights of Albuquerque where they enjoyed their time together in retirement with friends and family. A memorial service will be held for Jerry on Saturday, September 29th at 9am @Faith Lutheran Church 10,000 Spain Road Albuquerque, NM 87111. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in his name to the American Cancer Society.
