Gerald A. Pepin (fondly known as Jerry), of Albuquerque,
New Mexico passed away March 20, 2024 (87 years old).
Gerald was born to Rose and Syvio (Joseph) Pepin, June 12, 1936
In Leicester, Massachusetts. He was raised with three brothers, Edward, Francis and Leo.
After high school, he enlisted in the
USAF and was stationed in Salina, Kansas. It was here that he was a chauffeur driver to five star General, Dwight D. Eisenhower.
Jerry was honored and repeated his great respect as General Eisenhower who conversed easily and always showed gratitude. It was in the same small town, Abilene, Kansas, that he met the love of his life, Charlene Hoesch. They were married in 1955 in the Catholic Church. They raised two daughters and three sons.
In 1969, he relocated his family to Northern New Mexico.
He envisioned a great business climate and he adapted and pursued several new ventures.
Jerry did not believe in retirement. He was a dedicated self-employed business man and entrepreneur. He started his first job at 10yrs old and owned several businesses in both Massachusetts and New Mexico.
Most recently, he ran Sandia Muffler in Albuquerque.
A favorite passion of both Jerry and Charlene was music, especially Elvis and other current styles. Jerry was always
enamored with American cars. He was a dedicated businessman and had an amazing sense of humor.
Besides music and cards, he found fishing a favorite pastime, though he rarely took the time off.
Jerry is survived by four of five children, Vicki P. Maguire, Therese P. Speer, Russell E. Pepin and Kenneth H. Pepin. He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Charlene H. Pepin as well as his son, Andrew J. Pepin, who passed at age 38years old.
Jerry was a gifted story teller and consummate prankster. He truly enjoyed a good laugh.
He had expected to return to work.

Celebration of life will be a will be held
with the appropriate military salute
at the Santa Fe National Cemetery
May 3, 2024 at 2pm. It will be a 30minute service.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to
Samaritan's Purse.
