Gerald Paul Lindsey

Gerald Paul "Jerry" Lindsey, age 91, was called Home on Saturday, July 22, 2023. He was born September 21, 1931, in Checotah, OK, to Lewis and Kenyon Lindsey. He graduated from Granite HS in Oklahoma, and University of Wichita. He is survived by his brother, Fred Lindsey; son, Austin Lindsey; daughter, Donna Estelle; grandchildren, Justin Lindsey, Jade Mack, Dalton Mack, Marlin Mack; and great-grand-daughter, Brooklynn Lindsey. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Kenyon Lindsey, sisters, Lewise Snyder and Dortha Ruth Lindsey.

Gerald served in the Air Force and was a geologist, noted for discovering a suspected meteorite impact in Upham, NM. His geological endeavors led him to New Mexico highways, hydrogeology in Las Vegas, NV, the NV Test Site, and UMTRA, a DOE uranium project. He retired from the geological field in 1996, but never lost his passion and appreciation for the wonders of our earth. Gerald enjoyed family activities, traveling, and often took his family camping and exploring. He enjoyed oil painting and depicting the beauty of the West. Services will be private. Donations in his name may be made to a local animal shelter, as he often posted about lost pets.
