George Henry Shields

George Shields, age 81, God’s child, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2019. George was known as a giver and loved all. Born Wednesday, December 18, 1937 in Chambersburg, PA. He was the son of late George William Shields and Alice Elizabeth Shields. He attended Immanuel Lutheran Church 30+ years. He was considered their Historian and loved by all. He Retired from the Air Force as Master Sergeant after 25 years. He is survived by brothers, Donald R. Shields, Kenny Shields, and Charles Johnson; sisters, Cricket Marie Doris Thompson, and Betty Katherine Hover; step-daughters, Deborah Lynn Kuehling, Patricia Louise Holland, and Lucinda Ann Delgado. He also leaves many cherished aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.Services will be held Saturday, April 27, 2019, 1:30 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 300 Gold Ave SE. Burial will be Tuesday, April 30, 2019, 1:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks to send donations to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
