George Robertson Miller

George Robertson Miller, 90, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2019, at North Ridge Alzheimer’s Special Care Center. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Mae Bannon-Miller; his mother, Dorothy Agnes Harper Miller and his father, Eugene Debs Miller. George is survived by his loved and adored cat, Finky; and longtime friends, neighbors, and caretakers, Bill and Nena Cordova.

George was born in Bangkok, Thailand, served in the US Army as a Constable Squadron, Rifleman from 1946-1948 and the US Air Force as a Radar Mechanic/Electronics Technician, Private 1st class from 1949-1953. George attended John Hopkins University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electronics. George is a Retired Electronics Engineer. George enjoyed a long industrious electronics career while working at Sperry Flight Systems from 1968-1983, Sperry Corp Aerospace and Marine Systems 1984-1986 and Honeywell Corp 1987-1991. George retired from Honeywell Corp in 1992.

George was fluent in French, enjoyed years of membership in a local French Club, was a history buff (especially war history), self-taught on advanced sciences and climate change, and loved all sports. George was a member of Our Lady of Annunciation Catholic Church.

Graveside Memorial Services will be held Monday, October 28, 2019, at 11:00 a.m., Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109, where he will be interred alongside his wife.
