George F. Kuebler, 86, a widower and resident of Albuquerque, born to Fredrick G. and Loretta A. Leyh Kuebler on December 1, 1928 passed away on January 21, 2015. He is survived by his children, Stephen Kuebler of Las Vegas, NV, Michael Kuebler of Maui, HI, Susan Callan and husband, Robert, of Edmond, OK, Richard Kuebler and wife, Sherri, of Oklahoma City, OK, and Jonathan Kuebler and wife, Veronica, of Council Bluff, IA; twelve grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and his very special friend and companion, Thea Schierle. George was a committed artist and painter with a masters in art education. He loved artistic vision and sharing his craft and insight with others through teaching. Starting with a position at the University of Purdue and continuing with helping others appreciate creative expression as Curator of the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C and other galleries throughout the country. He also had a love of music and enjoyed playing the organ. It was his love of the arts that drew him to live out his final days in the Santa Fe and Albuquerque area.
