Age 85, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, formerly of Islip Terrace, New York, died on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at his residence. A viewing will be held at FRENCH - Wyoming on Saturday, April 27, 2013 from 9:00 - 10:30 am, followed by a graveside service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7500 Paseo Del Norte Ne, at 11:00 am. After the service all are welcome to gather at the home of the deceased for refreshments. Born to George and Wilhelmina Kracke on January 30, 1928. Born and raised in Richmond Hill, Queens, New York, and married Ann Virginia Donepp on September 27, 1948. He served on the NYPD for 20 years, obtaining the rank of Sargaent and Academy Instructor from 1956 to 1976. He retired and moved with his wife to Albuquerque in 1976. He served in various compasities for the City of Albuquerque from 1978 to 1990. He was Active in BSA obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout. He served as assistant Scout Master and then Scout Master from 1962 to 1972. He was widowed by his faithful wife of 49 years, Ann Virginia Kracke on August 9, 1997. He was a loving husband and father. Charming to those he met, loyal to his friends, and generous to all. He entertained many with his infectious laugh. He will be missed by all who knew him. Surviving are his son, Steven (wife, Vicky); grandson, Luke; grandson, Reed (wife, Kristen); granddaughter, Emily; grandson, Niles; daughter, Wendy; grandson, Christopher (wife, Tessa); granddaughter, Britney; son, Kevin; brother, William (Wife, Thelma) and lifelong friend John Charuk.
