Genoveva H. Lozoya, age 96, of Albuquerque, NM, died peacefully at her home on Sunday, June 17, 2018. Originally from Chihuahua, Mexico, Genoveva immigrated to the United States in 1957 with her family and was always proud of her Mexican heritage. She was a kind and loving woman of great faith who cared deeply for her family, animals, and her gardens.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, Arturo Lozoya, Sr.; son, Arturo Lozoya II; grandsons, Hector Garcia, Joseph Hernandez, Arthur Nava, and Jose Lozoya; and parents, Jose and Agripina Santoyo de Heredia.

She is survived by six children, Yolanda Parga and husband, Daniel, Luz Esther Galindo, and husband, Juan (deceased). Sylvia Nava and husband, Tony, Oscar Lozoya and wife, Jessica, Bertha Lozoya Archibeque and husband, Frank, Virginia "Vicky" Lozoya-Dow and husband, Alfred; sister, Delia Rodriguez; 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A Viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at FRENCH - University. Recitation of the Rosary follows at 6:30 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 820 Broadway SE, Albuquerque, NM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at 9:00 a.m. also at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd. NE. A reception will be held following interment at FRENCH – University.
