With profound sadness, we share the heartbreaking news of the sudden and untimely passing of Genaro Reneau on March 8, 2025, at just 33 years old. Genaro was born in Albuquerque on September 29, 1991, but lived in both Texas and California growing up. A resident of Bernalillo, NM, Genaro was a light in the lives of all who knew him-full of laughter, warmth, and an unwavering love for his friends, family, and his beloved dog, Hondo.
Genaro spent many years working in the solar industry, where his dedication and strong work ethic shone through. But beyond his career, his true passion was for the people around him. He had a rare ability to make anyone smile, always ready with a joke or a helping hand. Genaro was the life of the party, bringing energy, humor, and joy wherever he went. He especially enjoyed going on cruises and traveling to destinations known for their fun and exciting nightlife. When he wasn't exploring new places, he loved watching UFC fights, always cheering on his favorite fighters with enthusiasm. Above all, he was deeply devoted to the people he loved-his family, his friends, and his long-time girlfriend, Celeste.
He is survived by his loving parents, Nicole and Michael Reneau; his sister, Flora Koller, and her husband, Dylan; his cherished nieces, Aurora and Clara; and his girlfriend, Celeste Garcia. He also leaves behind his beloved grandparents, devoted aunts and uncles, and a close-knit circle of friends who became family. Genaro's kindness, humor, and generous heart touched many lives, and his absence leaves an immeasurable void.
A celebration of Genaro's life will be held at a later date. Please reach out to his family for details.
