Gellone Gryder

Gellone Gryder, age 61, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2022, after a long battle with renal failure. Gellone was an amazing wife and mother. She is survived by husband, Lawrence (Larry) Gryder and daughter by a previous marriage, Megan McCombs. Gellone is also survived by her mother, Joanne Whaley; sisters, Deja Goulet, Sydney Whaley, Kelly Venezia, and Erin Fuller; and numerous nieces and nephews. Gellone graduated with a bachelor's degree in Psychology from SUNY in Oswego, New York in 1982 and moved to Houston, Texas to pursue a career. She began working as a manager at Burger King but soon found that was not a great job. She ultimately ended up working in the Purchasing department at Dow Chemical company in Houston, Texas. She filled several roles with Dow Chemical and was still working at her passing. Her career there was close to thirty years. She was loved by her coworkers as she was smart, helpful, and outgoing and knew her job very well. She will be missed by many and was loved by many, especially me, her husband. She put up a valiant fight, but it just became too much. May she rest in peace absent of any pain and suffering.
