Gay Linn Brown

d. December 27, 2017

On December 27, 2017, Gay Brown, born Gay Linn Williams, was taken from this world too soon.

She was born in San Diego, California and moved several times while her father, Hervey, was in the Navy. She settled in Albuquerque, New Mexico where she met and fell in love with a boy named Gene L. Brown III, which later led to her falling in love with his dad, Gene L. Brown Jr. (Lyle). Gay took “Little Gene” as her own child and together, she and Lyle had two beautiful girls, Chennelle, and Melinda, and raised their family in Albuquerque.

She is preceded in death by her father, Hervey Williams Sr.; and her mother, Janice Williams. She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Teitler; siblings, Joleen (Cliff) Seusy, Terry Norton, and Hervey Williams Jr., children Gene L. Brown III (Gina), Chennelle Brown, and Melinda (Miguel) Contreras; and five grand-children, Alicia, Dorian, Indiga, Sabbith, and Zyan. Gay was an unbelievably caring and giving person. Family and friendship was of utmost importance to her. She could be found volunteering at food banks, or helping friends with anything they need help with. She overcame many obstacles that life threw her way. She was a true fighter her entire life and fought until the end. For those of us that were loved, touched, or a part of Gay’s life, she will not be forgotten. RIP

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 30, 2017, 2:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas.
