Gavino Ricardo Hernandez

Gavino Ricardo Hernandez III (Baby G) was three months old when he left us on Thursday, May 20, 2021. He was born two months premature in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on Monday, February 15, 2021 at 2 pounds 6 ounces. He fought his battle in the NICU at Presbyterian Hospital Downtown and came home in April, where he spent a month teaching us about love, strength, and most importantly, time. Although time isn't promised, our love for him is. Baby G has touched our family and changed our lives forever. We are truly blessed to have known him, for he is a precious gift from God that we will remember and cherish for eternity.

Baby G is survived by his mother, Vanessa Hernandez; father, Gavino R. Hernandez II; big sister, Natalia Hernandez; maternal grandparents, Martha and Arthur Hernandez; paternal grandparents, Teresa Padilla, Angel Chavez, and Gavino R. Hernandez; paternal great-grandparents, Loretta and Gavino Hernandez and Elizabeth Sanchez; as well as many aunties, uncles, and cousins.

Viewing and Rosary will be held on Friday, May 28, 6:00 p.m, at FRENCH- University. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 29, 10:00 a.m., at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal Rd SW. This will be followed by entombment at Sunset Memorial Park at 12:00 p.m., 924 Menaul Blvd NE. A reception at the Hernandez household will follow the entombment at 2301 Gardenia Rd SW Albuquerque, NM 87105.
